Recounting the events of that extraordinary day and reflecting on its impact, right up to the present day, this fully illustrated, hardback publication also includes an extensive photographic documentation of the day. The result is an in-depth record of one of the most significant days in modern history.
The cover image, featuring a crowd celebrating Victory in Europe Day, informed the dynamic composition of the cover title. The choice of typography was inspired by the newspaper headlines announcing the end of World War II in Europe.
